What to Flush?
Only Flush the Three P’s Pee, Poop and (Toilet) Paper
Wipes are convenient, but they are not safe for the sewer system – even if they are labeled “flushable” or “disposable"
When wipes, including baby wipes, cleaning wipes, cosmetic wipes, etc., are flushed down the toilet, they can form clogs and fatbergs (when wipes and grease combine in pipes) that block the sewer system flow and get tangled in pumps.
These clogs can create sewer system spills and backups that cause damage to ETWD’s pumps and the environment.
Help keep the sewer system clog free by tossing all disposable wipes (baby wipes, surface cleaning wipes, cosmetic wipes) in the trash.
